Now a renegade, Fisher finds himself in a race against time to thwart a deadly terrorist plot that threatens millions. South Georgia & South Sandwich Islands (GBP £)Ībout Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction Deluxe EditionĪn investigation into his daughter’s death unwittingly leads former agent Sam Fisher to discover he’s been betrayed by his prior agency, the Third Echelon.Another option is the most recent Hitman trilogy which is a completely different type of stealth & vibe but still all about sneaking around the environment, only using disguises instead of shadows.

I don't personally like its version of stealth nearly as much as original SC games but I enjoyed Ground Zeroes & it's definitely the closest to a modern SC. Other than that, you could look into whether MGSV is backwards compatible or not - if it is, then that's your closest option available on PS. It also gives you access to emulating the PS2/GC versions. The next best alternative is PC which gets you the first game & Chaos Theory just fine, gets you the broken Pandora Tomorrow for free but requires manually fixing it since Ubisoft doesn't even officually sell it on PC anymore, a broken Double Agent (and only the 360 version rather than both the 360 & Xbox version), and then the two newest ganes if those are your cup of tea.

Every game is backwards compatible including both the original Xbox & 360 versions of Double Agent, you can use either the original discs or buy them off the Microsoft store, all of the games just work and don't have the same issues as some of the PC ports, and if you have an Xbox One X or I think Series X/S, the titles were also XB1X Enhanced meaning cleaner lines, possibly 60fps? Idk what exactly was improved but I'm pretty sure they look/play nicer but I only have the launch Xbox One so Idk for sure. Unfortunately & ironically, if you wanted to play SC on console, then you would have needed to stick to Xbox which is arguably the best place to play SC right now. Plus, even if there was & you're used to the Xbox versions of the games, then the PS2 versions might come as a shock as they're generally considered inferior due to worse graphics, extra loading screens, and altered level design (though they have some cool elements and are still worth a playthrough imo)

There are no new games in the series, no PS ports of the old ones, and no way to play the original discs on PS.
